Let me introduce you to one of nature's secret elixirs -  Beta-Carotene.  Beta-Carotene is a type of vitamin A,  found in plants. It is an orange pigment carotenoid, that is super rich in antioxidants,  which prevents premature aging, making it one of the top anti aging nutrients in foods.

Beta carotene helps boost the body's immune system by lowering the Low Density Lipoprotein (LDL),  the bad cholesterol and raising the High Density Lipoprotein (HDL),  the good cholesterol.

Beta carotene have been found to help lower the risk of certain types of cancer such as the lungs, prostrate,  cervix,  colon, bladder,  larynx,  oesophagus and stomach. Studies have shown that including beta carotene in your daily diet will prevent your brain cells from developing dementia and alzheimer's disease at a later stage.

Because Beta carotene is a form of vitamin A,  it is great for the eyes,  and prevents blindness in the aged.  Beta carotene is needed in the development of healthy cells, strong teeth and bones,  especially in children.  This carotenoid is also great for the heart and essential in preventing cardiovascular diseases.

Beta carotene can be found in sweet potatoes,  especially the ones that are yellowish /orange on the inside,  water melons and dark-orange carrots.
